SHAH ALAM - Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIGP) Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay states that as of Aug 6, there have been 518 police reports lodged in Selangor related to the state elections.

Ayob said that although the high number of reports, only 20 investigation papers were opened by the Selangor police.

Ayob also noted that none of the reports were related to 3R (race, religion, royalty) issues.

"As of now, there has been no report of 3R cases in Selangor and we hope this will continue until the end of the election," he said

Ayob also warned politicians to not use and exploit 3R issues for political or personal gain, and if caught, strict action would be taken against them.

In a related matter, Ayob said that a total of 26,557 individuals would be voting today at 68 early voting centres and 93 channels in Selangor.
