KEPALA BATAS – The Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia (Gerakan) president Datuk Dr Dominic Lau Hoe has slammed the Penang government under the DAP's administration, likening it to a foreign government for not providing the Pennagnites with good development for their state.
"DAP is not the Penang state government. In fact, DAP is a foreign government. They do not provide benefits for development in this state.
"Any house built—condominiums, bungalows—is something young people can't afford to buy, but only foreigners can," Dominic stressed in his speech during the Perikatan Nasional (PN) Penang Manifesto launch at Hotel Seri Malaysia, Kepala Batas, today.
He further elaborated that the PN coalition was very committed to developing Penang, regardless of race, religion, or skin colour.
"The time has come for the mandate to be given to the PN. The offer introduced by our coalition party is for the rakyat.
"The Penangites now really cannot stand the DAP government, which has been governing the state for 15 years.
"Therefore, today we are asking for support from the voters of Penang to see changes in the state. Please support us to lead the state," he added.
The PN coalition offered 33 manifestos for the Penangites for the upcoming state election, which will be held on Aug 12.
