SEREMBAN: For the upcoming state elections, Pakatan Harapan (PH)-Barisan Nasional (BN) are offering the people of Negeri Sembilan 4,000 affordable housing units, the restructuring of small towns, and free hawker licenses.
Negeri Sembilan PH chairman Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said the coalition was also offering special assistance for admission into higher education institutions where eligible applicants will receive RM1,000 for Bachelor's Degree, RM750 for Diploma, and RM500 for a certificate if it was elected.
"We are also offering marriage assistance of RM500 to all residents who are establishing a household for the first time.
"The Negeri Sembilan Unity Aspiration is an inclusive promise and is a commitment of the Negeri Sembilan unity government.
"The goal is to create opportunities and provide assistance to individuals in order to drive state development and improve the wellbeing of the population," he said when announcing the PH-BN Negeri Sembilan manifesto on Sunday.
He said the manifesto is built upon five principles to attain a 'Developed Country, Sustainable Economy and Prosperous People'.
It centred around 10 key areas and comprised 70 proposals that will be implemented.
"The coalition will introduce the National Education Savings Contribution Scheme for children born in Negeri Sembilan. The scheme will provide financial support for education expenses.
"A RM150 voucher to obtain a motorcycle license for young people from B40 families between the ages of 16 and 21 is also offered to the people of Negeri Sembilan," he said.
