JELUTONG - Jelutong MP RSN Rayer has pledged to look after the welfare of Penangites and make sure they are always happy.
Rayer, who was speaking at a high-tea programme with Taman Mutiara Vista residents, said that this is not just an "election promise" that only happens during election campaigns.
"We want to make sure the people here are happy, no breakdown of lifts, also we want to look into the welfare of people in Mutiara Vista," he said.
Rayer also urged the Sungai Pinang residents to cast their vote for Lim Siew Khim, who will be contesting again for the upcoming state election.
He said that Lim, who is also the incumbent Sungai Pinang assemblyman, is always concerned about the people regardless of political background, race, or religion.
"Lim worked really hard during Covid-19, she would help me in distributing food and essential items for the people here.
"Sometimes, I will request her not to carry heavy boxes and get some rest, but that doesn't stop Lim's spirit in helping. She is among the first to arrive in helping the people.
"I can't do my job without Lim, so give her your 100 per cent support and make sure she wins big this time," Rayer said.
Lim will be facing a four-cornered fight in Sungai Pinang seat this time. Along with Lim, Andrew Rajah (Independent), Ng Fook On (Gerakan), and Abdul Ghani Haroon (PRM) are also eyeing the seat.
The Election Commission (EC) has set Aug 12 as the voting day and Aug 8 as the early voting day.
