SHAH ALAM - Almost 61 per cent of respondents from marginal seats or with slim majority in Selangor from all racial backgrounds agreed that they would vote based on party rather than individual candidates.
The survey conducted by Endeavor-MGC (EMGC) also showed 1,068 respondents or 58 per cent from the Malay marginal seat will make similar decision.
However, about 25 per cent of respondents preferred to vote based on individual candidates rather than party affiliation.
Similarly, in Malay marginal seats, 24 per cent of respondents expressed a similar preference for voting based on individuals.
The survey further showed 10 per cent of respondents from multi-ethnic marginal seats and 14 per cent in Malay marginal seats indicated that their voting decisions would be influenced by the candidates' religion.
