BAYAN LEPAS – "Not just three letters, even if he sends 30 letters I would not care to meet”, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He was referring to caretaker Menteri Besar Kedah Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor who said that he had sent him three letters to set an appointment for a meeting.
"Sanusi said he wrote three letters to meet me. What's the point of meeting you?
"He wrote three letters. Even if he wrote 30 letters, I don't care because he does not know manners, says insulting words, and insults people.
"So why (does he) want to meet (me)? " Anwar questions Sanusi in a Ceramah Mega Madani here at Shell Tapak Lama, Sungai Ara.
Anwar further said that he would respond in a good way if he received the same respect.
The Pakatan Harapan (PH) president further also pointed out that several caretaker Menteri besar who had politely sought for his help such as Perlis’s Mohd Syukri Ramli and caretaker Kelantan menteri besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob.
"If you talk nicely, I will talk nicely. Menteri Besar Perlis came to me since they could not pay salaries, I added some allocation.
"Menteri Besar Kelantan seeks our help for the flood disaster and we helped them," he said.
On May 25, Sanusi said that he had requested to hold a meeting with Anwar to present Kedah's 'wishlist'.
He said the wishlist was as stated in the Federal Constitution which involved central government's affairs with the state government.
Sanusi added that the state government had so far submitted three requests to set a date for the meeting but have yet to receive any responds.
"I have no problem with Anwar. I sent a letter as usual but I can't get a date yet (until now)," he had reportedly said.
