KEPALA BATAS - Bersatu vice president Datuk Seri Ronald Kiandee has said that Malaysians are fed up with the Unity Government, which he claims only gives false promises.
In his speech at Ceramah Kelompok PDM Permatang Bertam, Penang, Ronald said that the current government needs to be more serious about addressing the issue of the cost of living, which is burdening the people of the country.
"We see the ministers in the cabinet now; they have made no concrete efforts to deal with the people's problems.
"Unlike the government of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, despite facing the pandemic of Covid-19, we have various effective measures, including economic measures, to help the people," he said.
Muhyiddin, who was the former prime minister for two years, is the PN chairman.
"Various subsidies were given to the people under Muhyiddin's administration, not like the current unity government, which only cares about their own problems," he added.
Ronald urged the Penangites to choose a serious leader, and only the PN coalition will change the people's fate.
The Election Commission (EC) has set Aug 12 as the polling day for the Penang state elections, along with the state elections in Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Negeri Sembilan, and Selangor.
