SHAH ALAM – Muafakat Nasional (MN) chairman Tan Sri Annuar Musa asks his son, Afiq Amani Annuar to think carefully before deciding to leave Umno.
Annuar said he hoped that Afiq, who is also his youngest son, could take his place in Pas one day.
"I have four children, three girls and only one boy. He is the only boy and he is also the youngest," he said.
He said this while speaking at the Ketereh Parliament Public Lecture at the Kelantan Poverty Foundation (YKK) Padang Kala Complex on Friday.
Also present were Pas President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang and Pas Secretary-General Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.
Annuar said he informed his son that he was determined to join Pas as he made the decision in Makkah a few months ago.
"I also told my son, (Afiq) when it comes to struggle, don't think about rank and position," he said.
Annuar also admitted that Pas leaders had considered him to be a candidate in the 15th General Election (GE15).
"I think there is no need to be a candidate because the most important thing is to be a Pas member," he said.
