SHAH ALAM - With Malaysia entering into its 60th year as a nation,
MCA Vice President Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker says political maturity and education is crucial in curbing disinformation, political polemics and addressing radicalisation to foster a united and informed society.
Ti said it was crucial to reflect on the state of political landscape in the country.
He said amidst a surge of disinformation, distortion and political polemics, political education, though distinct from formal education it was crucial to steer away from divisive politics reminiscent of 1969.
He was speaking during Sinar Daily's Politically Frank series.
He said it was all about political rhetoric that created racial tension as DAP played on socialism equality.
”The Malays felt tightened (at unease),” said Ti.
However, Ti added an evaluation on the impact of radicalisation by DAP and Pas needs to be carried out to foster an informed and united society.
