KUALA LUMPUR - Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) has appointed Meru Utama Sdn Bhd (VGI Airports) as ERL’s media concessionaire.
ERL in a statement today stated under the three-year contract signed today, Meru Utama is tasked to manage and operate ERL’s advertising assets at all stations as well as Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Ekspres and KLIA Transit trains.
Taking place at KL Sentral station, the signing ceremony was attended by ERL chief executive officer Noormah Mohd Noor and Meru Utama director Aznur Azizuddin.
Noormah said the steady improvement in air travel has led to an increase in company passenger traffic, which is expected to reach over 80 per cent of pre-pandemic levels by the end of this year.
"This partnership will provide more exposure of foreign and local travellers to Meru Utama’s clients who see tremendous value in this market. We are confident that Meru Utama, with their vast experience and commitment to quality, can utilise our media assets optimally to generate maximum value for all parties,” she said, adding that both companies are optimistic about the potential economic returns, given the positive trajectory of air travel recovery.
Meanwhile, Meru Utama business unit director Herman Lim said the company can offer wider exposure to their clients by reaching out to the passengers through their journey to the Kuala Lumpur city centre as well as Putrajaya up to Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
"Due to the increasing demand in DOOH (Digital Out Of Home) (media), we will be investing and installing new state-of-the-art digital assets at the stations,” he said. - BERNAMA
