SHAH ALAM - Perikatan Nasional (PN) in Selangor has acknowledged financial constraints as one of the main challenges faced by the 56 candidates contesting in Selangor polls.

Pas Selangor secretary Roslan Shahir said financial limitations have not dampened the coalition's spirit to continue their struggle to win over Selangor.

"Bersatu's accounts have been frozen by the government for an uncertain period," he said, adding that a political party should be given a chance to probe after the probe is carried out.

"We are operating within limited budgets," he said in a press conference for PN Selangor, here.

He said Pas does not have much money but "we believe money should not be the priority. Available funds will be put into action."

He said besides using their own funds, PN also receives support from the rakyat.

Roslan further said PN offers clean and highly-integrity candidates to lead Selangor if they are given the mandate on August 12.

"There are no court clusters within PN's candidates, no prison clusters. They are free from this. We hope that the people of Selangor will trust us. We have given our best to give the best service to the people of Selangor."

"Give us trust and opportunity. This is not the first time, we have been the state government before. The people have evaluated us, and this is the best chance for the people to shape a new Selangor under PN," he added. - Awani
