KUALA LUMPUR - Machang MP, Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal has called for a high turnout rate of 90 per cent from Malay voters in the upcoming state elections.
Addressing the audience at Taman Keramat Flats, Wan Ahmad Fayhsal stressed the importance of Malay voters exercising their right to vote.
He stated that if 90 per cent of the Malay community participates in the electoral process, Perikatan Nasional (PN) stands a strong chance of securing governance in Selangor.
"The issue with Malay voters is that we sometimes take voting lightly. If all Malay voters go out and cast their ballots, even Penang can be within our reach," he added.
Wan Ahmad Fayhsal highlighted the changing political climate in the country and stressed the significance of having the highest possible voter turnout.
He urged the voters of Hulu Kelang to support PN candidate Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.
He described Gombak state seat as "ground zero" for Selangor and highlighted that if Gombak constituents fall, the government may follow suit.
"The people of Gombak Setia, Sungai Klang, Sungai Tua, and Hulu Kelang will be the pillars of change in Selangor," he said.
Wan Ahmad Fayhsal concluded his speech by expressing his belief that the people of Gombak will make the right choice and vote for the candidate who best serves their needs.
