DUNGUN - Any minister or government leader found to be taking state or national resources for personal gain will be removed from office immediately, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The Pakatan Harapan (PH) Chairman said issues involving power abuse would not be tolerated under his administration.
"If that ever happens, I would remove them from their posts," he said while inaugurating the Sentuhan Kasih Desa Terengganu programme at the Al Muktafi Billah Shah City Centre Sports Complex on Friday.
Also present were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Central Terengganu Development Authority (Ketengah) Chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Said and other top leaders.
Anwar also criticised a group that allegedly fought for Islam and the Malays but did not speak out on corruption, such as illegally taking state and national resources.
"I want to ask those supposedly championing the Malays and Islam, have they ever said they were against leaders taking logs, contracts or shares from the country? "I have not heard yet (from them)," he said.
