SHAH ALAM - Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has described the passing of the late Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub as a loss for the country.
He said the death of the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister was deeply felt as Salahuddin was a trustworthy and responsible leader.
"Throughout the period, I found him to be a good-natured, humble, trustworthy and responsible leader.
"The country deeply feels his passing," Mahathir posted on his Facebook page on Monday.

Salahuddin, 61, breathed his last at the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital, Alor Setar, Kedah, at 9.23pm on Sunday.
Salahuddin, born on 1 December 1961, was appointed Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry from 2018 to 2020 under the Mahathir administration.
