ALOR SETAR - PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli has advised supporters of the Unity Government not to act like Perikatan Nasional (PN) supporters, who have been accused of blindly supporting their leaders.

Rafizi said that such blind support could lead to leaders saying whatever they want, without regard for the consequences.

He cited the example of caretaker Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Noor, who has been accused of insulting the royal institution.

"I have seen people like this going nuts. That is also why I'd like to remind the Unity Government supporters that giving your support is good, but be different from those blindfolded cheerleaders," he said at the Suka Menanti constituency Madani Roadshow at Taman Wira Mergong Public Field yesterday.

Rafizi said that Sanusi's supporters had defended him even after he was charged with sedition.

He said that this was because they were blinded by their support for Sanusi, and did not care about the facts.

Rafizi also said that Sanusi's supporters were insulting others because they were insecure.

"People who are confident in themselves do not need to insult others," he added.

Rafizi said that Sanusi should focus on his work as Menteri Besar, instead of insulting others.

He said that Sanusi should show his achievements in Kedah, instead of playing on racial, emotional, and religious issues.
