KUALA TERENGGANU - Amanah has announced its intention to contest in three state seats in Terengganu on Aug 12.
Terengganu Amanah secretary Muzahar Hitam said the seats are Tepuh, Batu Buruk, and Ru Rendang.
"Amanah Terengganu is ready and is also working closely with BN-Umno candidate to win the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary seat,” he said in a statement, today.
Muzahar said discussions are still ongoing on several other state assembly seats among the party's main leaders.
Six states - Terengganu, Kelantan, Kedah, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, and Penang would hold elections simultaneously on August 12. The nomination day is set for July 29 and early voting is set on August 8.
In a statement yesterday, EC chairman Tan Sri Abdul Ghani Salled said the voting day for Kuala Terengganu by-election would also be held concurrently with the state election on August 12.
The nomination of candidates for the parliamentary seat is scheduled for July 29.
