SHAH ALAM - Caretaker Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor's TikTok account is now back online after being inaccessible for several days.
The account was first reported to be blocked on Saturday, with Sanusi claiming that it was an attempt to block his online campaign efforts ahead of the upcoming state election.
The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) denied that it had ordered the block, and Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said that the government did not have the power to ban TikTok accounts.
It is unclear why Sanusi's account was blocked in the first place, but it is possible that it was due to a technical error.
Whatever the reason, the account is now back online and Sanusi is able to use it to communicate with his followers.
