KOTA BHARU - The police have confirmed that the investigation into the 3R (religion, race and royal institution) issue involving Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng and Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor will be handed over to the Attorney-General (AG), next week.
The Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said investigation papers were 70 per cent complete after all three political figures' statements were recorded.
"We had called all those involved to record their statements on July 3, 12 and 14.
"So far, the investigation related to 3R only involves these three cases which are very interesting. The rest are two or three minor cases," he said at a press conference, today.
Earlier, he attended the state polls briefing at the Kelantan Police Contingent Headquarters here.
Also present was Kelantan police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun.
Previously, it was reported that the cops confirmed that they had recorded Lim and Hadi's statements on the 3R issue.
Razarudin said the recording process was carried out by Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Division's Classified Crime Investigation Unit.
