Actor and director Mat London passed away at 5.57am today at Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) at the age of 74.
The news was confirmed by the artists secretary general Hafiz Nafiah in a statement to the media earlier today.
"The body will be taken to Taman Melawati Mosque this morning and will be buried after Friday prayers," he said.
Mat London was admitted to HKL's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on June 16 due to a lung infection and was in a critical condition.
On June 26, he was put to sleep after his condition became critical and he did not respond.
Mat London was famous for his role as Pak Karim in the Kampung Pisang series.
He also suffered from kidney problems.
His death is a great loss to the Malaysian entertainment industry.
He will be remembered for his talent and his contributions to the industry.
