SHAH ALAM - Final year students from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam organised a programme called 'Pasar Loka Klasik' to raise funds for Tahfiz children from Ma'ahad Tahfiz Teduhan Kasih (MTTK).
The event, organised by students of the Public Relations major under the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies better known as PRisme Agency, also aimed to raise awareness among students on corporate social responsibility.
Held at Dewan Mawar Qaseh and Dataran Mawar, UiTM Shah Alam, the vintage themed event also provided a platform for small business owners to evoke nostalgia for antiques and foster an appreciation for traditional Malaysian culture among UiTM Shah Alam students.
Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies Prof. Madya. Dr. Abdul Rasid Abdul Rahman said: "Despite the modernisation of today's world, the charm of vintage and retro continues to thrive in our hearts."
In line with its vintage theme, visitors were entertained with a range of interesting activities such as a captivating Vespa show, a photo booth filled with sweet memories, a batik colouring session, traditional games, enchanting musical performances and more.
