SHAH ALAM - Perikatan Nasional (PN) could not look down on the ingenuity of the people of Selangor in choosing their leadership.
PKR Central Election Committee deputy director Manivanan Gowin said the administration of the Selangor state government was now proof that the people have recognised the achievements of Pakatan Harapan (PH).
"The current PH government has managed to govern the state with a 'people-friendly' approach.
"Not playing with words, but prefer to listen to the opposition’s policy and approach to the people,” he said in a Facebook post, today.
It was reported that PN did not deny that it will face a fierce competition in Selangor ahead of the upcoming state elections.
PN deputy Youth chief Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal said although it will be a tough fight, PN was still confident of capturing Selangor, looking at the disunity of the component party in Barisan Nasional (BN) and PH’s incapability to lead the country.
The Bersatu Armada chief said PN was confident that non-Malay voters will change direction due to the split in BN and the weaknesses that became apparent in PH.
Commenting further, Manivanan said a more accurate word for Wan Ahmad Fayhsal’s statement was ‘opposition in waiting’.
