SHAH ALAM - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has labeled the Opposition's attacks on the Unity Government as mere slander without substance.
He said the issues raised by the Opposition during parliamentary sessions have been stagnant and lacking in impact.
"The people and the country need stability and it is important for us to create an exemplary order that is economically strong and the people are united, not divided by racial and religious conflicts.
"It is impossible for us to translate stability well if every week, every month, the people are served with stories of movements in the dark to overthrow the government.
"If it is brave and true that 'it is enough', use the correct and democratic channel through the No Confidence Motion in Parliament and the government is ready to face it," he said in a post on his Facebook page on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Anwar who is also the Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman, also questioned the narrative that has been tried to be thrown towards the Unity Government so far.
Anwar called for constructive criticism from the Opposition, expressing disappointment in the lack of thoughtful and meaningful contributions thus far.
On state election, Anwar informed that PH and Barisan Nasional (BN) leadership will work together in the spirit of friendship and unity to ensure that the Unity Government can form state governments on August 12.
