SHAH ALAM - Singer Muhammad Noh Salleh, 38, admits that he was going through a rough patch after his divorce with humanitarian activist Mizz Nina, 43, six months ago.
The Hujan group vocalist said he had to fight for child custody to take care of his stepchild, Musa, 2, with his ex-wife before the divorce was finalised.
Noh shared it in an interview via Instagram in Indonesia.
In the interview, Noh was asked to comment on his top five choices of Indonesian songs.
The Sarawak-born singer then answered that one was titled 'Manusia' by David Bayu, in which he reflected himself through the song.
"Six months ago, I went through a rough patch in my life. I was divorced from my wife, and then I was battling for child custody.
"The 'Manusia' song was in tune with me as an individual going through trying times in life," he said.
Noh married Mizz Nina on July 2, 2011, but their marriage ended in August of last year.
He was reported to have tied the knot with a woman known as Fatin Athira Mustapa.
Mizz Nina also remarried a Maghribi-descent rapper and lyricist from Seattle, United States, Essam Muhammad.
