IPOH - MCA does not want to entertain any provocation by the opposition against Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties.
This included Perak Pas inviting MCA to join Perikatan Nasional (PN).
Perak MCA Youth chief Daniel Wa Wai How said he appreciated the concern of other parties towards MCA, but they would not be fooled by the invitation.
"Thanks for the offer, but MCA upholds the order of the YDPA (Yang di-Pertuan Agong) to continue to support the unity government,” he briefly told Sinar on Friday.
He was commenting on Perak Pas commissioner Razman Zakaria’s statement inviting both BN component parties MCA and MIC to join PN following their decision not to contest in the state elections, next month.
Razman said MCA and MIC’s involvement in PN would be able to pull at least 20 to 30 per cent of voters of their respective races.
PN election director-general Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said he was prepared to provide seats to MCA and MIC to contest in the state elections if both parties left BN.
