SHAH ALAM - The Bukit Aman Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department (JSPT) has established the 'Black Mamba Team' to ensure smooth traffic flows on sevreal main roads on Wednesday.
Bukit Aman JSPT director Datuk Seri Mat Kasim Karim said the establishment of the team was a string of efforts by the force to reduce the congestion throughout Aidiladha celebration.
"The Black Mamba Team was renamed the JSPT Task Force Team, consisting of officers and personnel from the Intelligence/Operation Unit, or known as Squad 42.
"It represented a specially trained unit, and they have the expertise to perform several tasks involving elements within the JSPT," he said in a statement on Thursday.
He said the assets involved high-powered motorcycles used by the team to perform their duties.
"The Black Mamba Team consisted of two senior officers and 22 personnel using high-powered motorcycles.
"Among the tasks carried out were intelligence on any elements involving traffic offences, performing planned operations, performing escort duties, monitoring, patrol, and enforcement," he said.
He said they are always prepared to improve traffic flow to smooth the journey for road users.
"Users are reminded to pay attention to safety aspects to avoid accidents and to follow road rules established for the safety of themselves, their families, and other users.
"The enforcement and frequency of monitoring focus on ensuring users comply with road rules," he said.
