SHAH ALAM - DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke is urged to take disciplinary action against former DAP publicity secretary Tony Pua over his statement.
MCA vice president Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker said disciplinary action should be taken against Pua, just like it was with former DAP member Superman Hew.
Additionally, Ti also suggested Loke sack Pua as DAP Policy Advisor following his statement calling Barisan Nasional (BN) a 'corrupt coalition'.
"It is to prove DAP's commitment and conviction towards the Unity Government.
"To refute Pua's statement that DAP plans to move on its own without BN or Umno, which he claims to be corrupt parties, Loke shouldn't let this be," he said in a tweet today.
Yesterday, Pua called BN, which is now with Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the Unity Government, a 'corrupt coalition’.
He also said that he hoped that PH would be able to form its own government with other coalition parties, excluding Umno and BN, if the party wins the next General Election (GE).
However, Loke said Pua's speech, which seemed like an attack on the main coalition party in the Unity Government, should not have been uttered.
He added that any provocative statement against a coalition partner in the Unity Government is not in line with the current stance and direction of the party.
