Singapore hoteliers are in "para-para-paradise" as there has been a spike in accomodation bookings, in line with the highly anticipated six-day Coldplay shows next January 2024.
The data, revealed by Agoda, showed that there is a remarkable 8.7 times search increase for accomodations in the Lion City.
In a statement, Agoda said the surge is driven mainly by neighbouring countries Malaysia and Indonesia but based on its search data, Singapore can also expect travellers from Hong Kong, Thailand, USA, Australia, Vietnam, India, Philippines, and many other markets.
Regional Associate Vice President Southeast Asia at Agoda Enric Casals said: "Music inspires a great deal of passion, and dedicated fans are truly remarkable as they will travel far and wide to see their favourite acts live.
"This spike in accommodation bookings is a testament to the undeniable lure of live musical experiences, showcasing the profound impact they have on travel decisions," he said.
Agoda also revealed the highest country search for travels to Singapore was from Indonesia.
Ahead of the Singapore shows, Coldplay is scheduled to hold a concert in Malaysia on November 22 this year.
Meanwhile, the band announced an additional show in the Philippines due to high demand after tickets for the initial date sold out.
Coldplay is also set to perform sold-out shows in Bangkok.
