TUMPAT - There is no issue in the seat allocation process between Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Umno for the state election in Kelantan as both parties are still in the negotiation stage, said PKR vice president Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.
He said the seat allocation process had finished relatively quickly in Kelantan, and all leaders were showing a positive attitude about the matter.
"In regards to the negotiation, the mood was very positive at the PH and Umno levels.
"We want to ensure there is a check and balance in the Kelantan State Legislative Assembly for PH and Barisan Nasional (BN)," he said.
He said this to reporters at the Kelantan State Federal Development Project Visit Program at Teluk Renjuna Health Clinic, here, today.
He also added that they were still discussing using the party's logo for the state election in Terengganu.
"However, in Kelantan, we had agreed to respectively use the PH and BN logos, but we didn't clash in terms of seats," he said.
In another development, Nik Nazmi, who is also the Natural Resources, Environment, and Climate Change (NRECC) Minister, said the standard operating procedure (SOP) for mining had been completed and had been practised in Perak.
He explained that there were already mining products that had been produced and exported.
"The Cabinet had approved the SOP at the national level, and I will table the processing SOP next week because we don't want Malaysia to only export raw mining products.
"We also want the production process to be environmentally friendly, as it will impact the environment," he said.
