JERUSALEM - The act of an extremist right-wing Israeli ministry official relieving himself at the scene of an attack in which five Palestinians were killed drew widespread criticism.
The recent scandalous act of Chanamel Dorfman, the National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir's head of staff, has brought to the forefront Israel's right-wing coalition government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which is known for its discriminatory and racist policies towards Palestinians.
Dorfman, accompanied by Israeli security personnel, arrived at the scene in the city of Nazareth in northern Israel, where five Palestinians, who were Israeli citizens, were killed in an organised crime-based attack.
In the presence of many police officers and local residents, the senior official publicly urinated, reported Anadolu Agency.
The incident was captured on a video by an individual at the scene.
Dorfman, who is considered the right-hand man of right-wing Minister Ben-Gvir, disregarded the sensitivity of the location while relieving himself, prompting one of the local residents to confront him.
The person who confronted Dorfman shouted insults at him, saying, "Shame on you! Can't you see where you're relieving yourself while there are women and children around?"
Following this reaction, the official quickly returned to the security personnel.
As these images spread on social media, Dorfman's scandalous behavior at the site of the mass killing garnered widespread criticism.
Comments on social media included expressions such as "disrespectful to humanity," "disgusting behaviour," and "Israel is a racist criminal state." - BERNAMA
