SHAH ALAM - Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor is advised to focus on solving water woes rather than finding fault in others, including with Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution.
Saifuddin's political secretary Johari Kassim said Sanusi's insinuations on Facebook which did not touch on Kedah water issue that were raised by students during Madani Icon Tour seemed out of place.
Meanwhile, he said during Saifuddin's recent event, students raised Kedah's poor water supply as well as the legitimacy of Kedah claiming Penang as its territory.
"Everyone present could see that the question and answer session was alive. All questions were allowed which clearly showed that the students are well aware of this matter.
"There was no issue for anyone to record (the sesion). Live broadcast could not be made due to poor internet access there.
"Recording had been made and will be fully broadcast on social media," he said in a statement, today.
Yesterday, on Facebook, Sanusi cynically questioned the event attended by Saifuddin which was allegedly carried out in secret. He also claimed that Saifuddin had said RM1.6 billion project came from the Unity Government.
Johari in response asked Sanusi not to make negative assumptions.
This is because the Federal Government had frequently said it will commit to a total of 453 projects involving an allocation of RM1.6 billion involving new and delayed projects.
"As Kedah State Development Action Council co-chairman, Saifuddin is in Kedah almost every weekend to monitor and see for himself projects for the people that need to be completed immediately.
"The Unity Government's commitment is unwavering towards the development of Kedah. Not only that, we also want to ensure that all these projects are completed within the time frame given," he said.
