IPOH - Perak Pas is making thorough preparations to face the State Elections in Penang and Selangor soon.
Its commissioner Razman Zakaria said the focus was on aiding the election machinery involving 24 areas in both states.
"The election machinery assembly will be held on June 24 in Tanjung Malim because we will help in Selangor and Penang.
"We will help in 24 areas, 12 in Selangor and 12 in Penang.
"We will perform as best as we can to aid the states," he said when met by reporters after lodging a report to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) regarding the issue of the Malay Reserve Lands in Meru Raya here on Wednesday.
Razman, who was the Perak Perikatan Nasional (PN) deputy chairman said the state election results were expected to provide an impact on Perak.
When asked about Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu's appointment as Negeri Sembilan PN chairman Razman said the former Tambun MP still remains as Perak PN chairman.
"He (Ahmad Faizal) is still remains the Perak PN chairman, it's all based on the decision between coalition parties and we will carry out our respective duties as usual," he explained.
Sinar previously reported the former Election Commission (EC) deputy chairman Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar predicted the six states facing elections – Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Penang, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan – would hold it simultaneously in early August.
Wan Ahmad said the decision was significant as the end of the term of the administration of some State Assemblies such as Selangor, Kelantan and Terengganu would reach its maturity and dissolve automatically at the end of June.
