JOHOR BAHRU - A Malaysian woman Angie Chona Sum Yee, 22, was reported missing in Thailand after her family failed to track her down for the past few days.
The victim's mother Zhu Caiyun said Angie was located at Chiang Mai on May 29 for work purposes.
"There were several workers from the same company who were supposed to meet Angie in Thailand.
"Angie uploaded several images around Chiang Mai, Mae Sai district, Chiang Rai including the border gate between Mae Sai and Myanmar.
"Angie uploaded those photos on her personal Facebook before she disappeared without a trace. Angie's WhatsApp showed she was last active at 10pm last Thursday.
"Since then, she didn't respond or read any messages sent," she said on Facebook on Tuesday.
Zhu said police reports were lodged in Malaysia and Thailand.
Public with any information on the case were asked to step forward and aid the authorities in tracking her.
