KUALA LUMPUR - Pas has no problem to work with the former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Its secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan described Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's readiness to work with Dr Mahathir represent the development of PN as a whole.
"We (Pas) are part of PN... so when Muhyiddin says he is ready then Pas is also ready to cooperate with anyone who shares the same goal to achieve stability in the economy and the country... there is no problem.
"This includes working together with the stateman Dr Mahathir," he said when met by reporters after PN MPs meeting, here, yesterday.
Bersatu information chief Datuk Razali Idris previously described Dr Mahathir and Muhyiddin's readiness to work together again as a good step to strengthen PN to face the state election.
However, Bersatu Supreme Council was not aware of its development.
Commenting further, Takiyuddin, however, said cooperation with Dr Mahathir was not solely motivated by the upcoming state election.
"Looking back, Pas always had a good relationship with Dr Mahathir.
"When he was prime minister with Pakatan Harapan (PH) before, Pas even issued a statement to support his vote of confidence.
