KUALA LUMPUR - Not even half of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) Supreme Council members attended the meeting that was supposedly held on Monday to finalise the seat allocations for the upcoming state election.
According to a source at PN headquarters, the meeting started at 10am and ended at 1pm.
This was opposed to the information received by the media, which indicated that the meeting was scheduled to start at 5pm.
"There was a meeting to discuss seat allocation this morning (Monday).
'What I can tell is that not even half of the Supreme Council members were present," the source told Sinar Harian.
The source, however, refused to comment further on whether the meeting had successfully finalised a decision on the distribution of seats for the state polls.
"I can not say anything about the meeting," the source stated.
Several media personnel had waited as early as 4pm in the vicinity of PN headquarters, but not even one PN leader could be seen.
On Sunday, PN election director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor was reported as saying that PN was set to finalise the allocation of seats for the upcoming state election today.
He said the discussion on seat allocation was expected to conclude by 5pm.
"The seat allocation for PN (Monday) will be finalised tomorrow. "The discussion will take place at PN headquarters in Publika, Kuala Lumpur," he said when met during 'Jelajah Selangor Baru' programme held at Tanjong Karang Pas Complex last night.
