KUALA SELANGOR - Perikatan Nasional (PN) is set to finalise the allocation of seats for the upcoming state election in six states today.
According to PN's election director, Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, the discussion on seat allocation is expected to conclude by 5pm.
"The seats allocation for PN tomorrow (Monday) will be finalised. The discussion will take place at PN Headquarters in Publika, Kuala Lumpur," he said during the 'Jelajah Selangor Baru' program held at Tanjong Karang Pas Complex last night.
When asked about his involvement in PN's political approach and strategy to secure Selangor, Sanusi denied having any say in the matter.
"The approach and strategy are decided by the leaders here (at the state level), not me," he said.
On May 17, PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced that the seat allocation process among PN component parties for the upcoming state elections was almost completed.
Discussions on this matter were also included in the PN Supreme Council meeting held on May 23.
Muhyiddin had instructed the negotiation teams of each party to expedite the seat allocation process.
These teams include Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) deputy president Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, Pas deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, and Gerakan president Datuk Dr Dominic Lau.
