KUALA LUMPUR - The police have recorded the statement of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to assist investigations with regard to alleged insulting statements against the Royal Institution, and the Malay Proclamation.
Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) secretary Datuk Noorsiah Saaduddin in a statement today said Dr Mahathir's statement was taken by Bukit Aman’s Classified Crime Investigation Unit (D5) at the Albukhary Foundation here at 10.30 am today.
The statement was recorded under Section 112 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
