SHAH ALAM - Police are tracking down the driver of a Honda City that has been caught on camera driving on the motorcycle lane of the Federal Highway.
The incident came to light when a Twitter user named @nanmanioi8715 shared a screenshot from a video capturing the alarming incident on the Federal Highway towards Kuala Lumpur.
The footage shows a white Honda City car veering into the motorcycle lane at Kilometer 30.1, causing frustration among the motorcyclists.
Petaling Jaya district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said that the police were alerted with the viral video at 5:40pm on Monday.
Fortunately, no accidents or injuries were reported among other road users.
In light of this incident, the police are appealing to the person who recorded the video to step forward and assist in the investigation.

The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Fakhrudin also warned that police would take strict action against any drivers who engage in dangerous driving, emphasising their commitment to maintaining road safety.
