KUALA LUMPUR - Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah arrived in Amman, Jordan Tuesday for a four-day special visit.
The special aircraft carrying Their Majesties touched down at Queen Alia International Airport at 4.30pm local time (9.30pm in Malaysia).
The delegation included Their Majesties' children Tengku Arif Bendahara Tengku Muhammad Iskandar Ri’ayatuddin Shah, Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah and Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Jihan Azizah ‘Athiyatullah.
They were met on arrival by Jordanian Tourism Minister Makram Queisi, Amman Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh and Malaysian Ambassador to Jordan Mohamad Nasri Abd Rahman.
The special visit is at the invitation of King Abdullah II of Jordan and the two leaders are scheduled to hold a meeting at Beit Al Urdun at 1.30pm local time today.
Their Majesties are scheduled to attend the royal wedding of the Crown Prince of Jordan Al Hussein bin Abdullah II at Zahran Palace tomorrow, followed by the wedding banquet at Al Husseinieh Palace in the evening.
Their Majesties will depart for home on Friday. - BERNAMA
