KUALA LUMPUR - The Asean’s largest Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), redONE Network Sdn Bhd today announced a strategic partnership with Prasarana Integrated Development Sdn Bhd, which brings the rebranding of the KL Sentral Station as ‘KL Sentral redONE’ LRT station, a part of a 5-year Station Naming Rights deal.
The rebranded KL Sentral redONE LRT Station name will be visible throughout the main areas of the station and along the Kelana Jaya line, including signage and maps, as well as on board the trains, effective immediately, demonstrating redONE's commitment to increasing brand visibility and connecting with consumers in the Klang Valley.
The integrated station, which was built over 20 years ago as the largest 'multimodal' transport hub of its kind in Southeast Asia, is the heart of the country's rail system, connecting all existing rail networks, making it an important interchange for commuters and travellers.
The transport hub serves travellers by connecting them to the LRT, MRT, Express Rail Link (ERL), and Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM), as well as direct links to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
redONE's Chief Executive Officer, Farid Yunus, expressed his excitement about the collaboration with Prasarana, and remarked that the partnership allows them to be exposed to millions of users who pass through the station on a regular basis, strengthening and establishing its presence in the Klang Valley.
"We strongly support public transportation and bringing living costs down for consumers, which is why, at redONE, we provide affordable postpaid plans from as low as RM8 a month.
"Therefore, today, I am excited to embark on this exciting new chapter for redONE and am especially thrilled that we get to further strengthen the partnership that we have built with Prasarana to another level through the Station Naming Programme," Farid remarked during his speech at the Grand Reveal of the Rebranding for KL Sentral LRT Station at East Wing Concourse Level, KL Sentral LRT Station, here, today.
He further added that KL Sentral is the connectivity hub for everyone, where everyone passes through for various reasons, be it to grab a quick meal or to catch up with colleagues, friends, and families.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Prasarana management for working hard behind the scenes to ensure this strategic partnership goes on smoothly.
Meanwhile, Prasarana Integrated Development Chief Executive Officer Fa'izah Khairuddin stated that the collaboration with redONE is an important milestone for the company.
"By joining forces with redONE, we are confident that we will enhance the overall experience for millions of commuters and travellers while opening new avenues for brand visibility and engagement
"We look forward to a successful partnership that will shape the future landscape of public transportation in the Klang Valley," she added.
In 2022, redONE also launched the redRIDER campaign, in conjunction with Rapid KL to promote public transport use. Every month, travellers can win a free smartphone and special redONE goodies through the campaign.
