JOHOR BAHRU - Johor police issue a stern warning to organisers of the 'Gang Bang JB Party' – allegedly a wild sex party – to cancel the event.
State Police Chief Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat said strict action would be taken if organisation of the event was against the law and rules were violated.
"The Johor Police is giving a stern warning to the organisers of the 'Gang Bang JB Party' not to continue with the event.
"Continuous monitoring is carried out by the police against any illegal event organisation and will take strict action in the event of a violation of the law.
"Investigation papers have been opened in accordance with Section 292 (e) of the Penal Code.
"As for the distribution of posters through social media, the investigation will be conducted in accordance with Section 233 of the Multimedia Communications Act 1998," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
He also asked the public not to make any speculations that could threaten public order.
"The Johor Police is asking for the cooperation of the public who have any information related to crimes can channel the information to the Johor Police Operations Room at 07-2212999," he said.
On Wednesday, an invitation card of the 'Gang Bang JB Party' event was circulated on Twitter, allegedly would be held from 4pm to 9pm on June 20.
State Exco of Islamic Religious Affairs Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid confirmed that the Johor State Islamic Religious Department (JAINJ) had been instructed to take immediate action on the matter.
