LANGKAWI - The National Defence and Security Industry Policy (DIPKN), which is slated to be launched at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2023, is still in the evaluation process, said Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.
He said the government did not want to rush in making a decision on the matter and wanted to gather more input from stakeholders.
"We don’t want to rush things in formulating a policy. We want all stakeholders to get involved and get input from all quarters so that the government and the industry will embrace the policy.
"So we engage with them more carefully. Even though we have held engagement sessions with the stakeholders before, we want to ensure that what we are doing here will be a document or policy that can be adopted by all quarters,” he told a press conference today.
