Body found floating in Kota Damansara, identity of victim unknown

PETALING JAYA - A body of a man was found floating in the Seri Selangor Golf Club River in Kota Damansara, here on Tuesday.

Petaling Jaya district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the body was spotted by individuals fishing from a nearby bridge who then alerted the police at 1.25am.

"The witness reported seeing a floating object being carried by the current. Upon closer inspection, they realised it was a lifeless body,” he said in a statement, today.

As of now, the identity of the victim remains unknown. The body has been taken to Sungai Buloh Hospital for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Fakhrudin urged the public who witnessed the incident or were present at the scene to come forward and provide their statements at the nearest police station or get in touch with the Kota Damansara police station at 03-61421222 to assist with the ongoing investigations.
