KUALA LUMPUR - Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has asked the Prime Minister who is also Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to explain about his declaration of wealth.
"According to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) asset declaration on Nov 24, 2018, Anwar was among those who did not declare his wealth.
"Anwar can explain if this statement is true or not," said the former prime minister in a social media post.
Dr Mahathir informed that he had declared his own assets, which is RM32.3 million worth of wealth, including three houses and other assets.
According to the records, Anwar had declared his assets in 2022 before becoming the Prime Minister.
It included net assets worth RM11.2 million including RM10.4 million from four property units he owned, purchased between 2005 and 2022. - Awani
