SHAH ALAM - Eight districts in Peninsular Malaysia have been issued a Level 1 heatwave warning by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
In a statement, the department said the eight districts are Padang Terap in Kedah; Pasir Mas and Kuala Krai in Kelantan; Pekan, Bera, and Rompin in Pahang and Segamat and Muar in Johor.
Adding further, the department said a Level 1 warning will be issued when temperatures between 35°C and 37°C are recorded for three consecutive days.
MetMalaysia also reported that no areas in Sabah and Sarawak reached Level 1 warning.
