KUALA LUMPUR - Although the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) is part of Pakatan Harapan (PH), the party's participation in the Unity Government National Convention is a good sign for Muda to be accepted into the coalition.
Its president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman said although they haven't receive any answer from PH about their application, they had received an invitation to attend the convention.
"We have sent the application letters thrice but we haven't received a single response.
"This matter need to be resolved internally, for the reason of why it is still undecided, it is fairer to ask them.
"But this should not overshadow what happened today. It is a good sign that we were invited to be part of the convention," he told reporters at World Trade Centre (WTC) yesterday.
Previously, Muda had cooperated with PH during the 15th General Election (GE15).
Recently, Syed Saddiq was reported to have met with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to discuss strategies for the upcoming state election.
