KUALA LUMPUR - What's the point of labelling oneself as 'Bersih' when the appearance is the dirtiest in the history, questions Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar said there was 'no more' cheating or hanky panky activities in the Unity Government.
"What topics are brought up right now? Withdrawals from the Employee Provident Fund, me wearing songkok abroad and using chappals (sandal).
"What's important is I don't steal.
"But what Sakau (stealer) can't do is is revive the country; God has destined the new leader, he is determined to save," he said at the Unity Government National Convention at World Trade Centre (WTC) today.
Anwar said choices need to be made to restore the dignity of the nation as it was also a part of the Unity Government focus, which had been lost during the reign of PN’s chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
Muhyiddin, who is Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president, was slapped with multiple charges for graft and money laundering at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court and Shah Alam Sessions Court back in March.
This makes Muhyiddin the second former Prime Minister after Datuk Seri Najib Razak, to be accused of corruption charges.
