PUTRAJAYA - Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has consented to the reappointment of Tan Sri Azam Baki as the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner.
The chief secretary to the government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali in a statement today informed that the matter was in line with Clause (1) Article 145 of the Federal Constitution.
Azam's appointment is effective for a year starting Friday (May 12).
Previously, Azam was appointed to the position on March 9, 2020, to replace the previous chief commissioner Latheefa Koya.
