SHAH ALAM - Yes, you read that right. The most awaited Karnival Pendidikan Sinar Bestari is postponed due to poor and unpredictable weather.
In a statement today, Sinar Karangkraf Group Chief Executive Officer Farah Hussamuddin expressed her disappointment that the carnival had to be postponed.
"After much consideration, Sinar Karangkraf and our co-organiser for the carnival, the Selangor Education Department have agreed to postpone the carnival scheduled for May 10 to 12, 2023," she said
Farah said this decision was made due to the current weather conditions and also to ensure the safety of visitors, who are mostly primary and secondary school students.
"We accept the Education Ministry’s call to continuously take precautionary measures, especially those involving outdoor activities during the prolonged hot weather experienced by the country now.
"On behalf of the Karnival Pendidikan committee, we would like to express our appreciation and gratitude for the support from all parties that have given exceptional support and feedback for the carnival," she said.
The carnival has been postponed to July 2023
"The exact date will be announced soon," Farah said.
