ALOR SETAR - The Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition is said to be in a disoriented state, especially on the issue of the royal pardon to former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said this is due to conflicting statements between Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) and Umno, both of which have differing opinions about the matter.

The Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Pas election director had also expressed sympathy for Amanah who seems to be pressured by the 'big brother' in PH

"PH-BN coalition is in a disoriented state. Amanah says sorry to Umno. Umno apologises on behalf of Najib. Amanah then disagrees and Umno got angry with them. DAP also said the same but Umno didn't say anything back.

"Doesn't this show their disoriented state. When it is DAP. they don't dare to speak up. So I feel sorry for Amanah that is easily bullied by Umno. They had apologised within a day, their identity is completely lost. See who is the 'big brother' in PH and BN," he said in a press conference after chairing an exco meeting at Wisma Darul Aman, here, today.

Sanusi said this when asked to comment on Amanah who had apologised to Umno for a statement issued by one of its leader about the subject, while DAP did not have to apologise,

"That is why I want PN to lead the country and not them," he stressed.

Previously, Amanah had apologised to Umno over the statement made by its Communications director Khalid Samad on the royal pardon of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Meanwhile, Amanah deputy president Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub expressed his hope that the issue could be solved and that he was willing to personally meet the Umno president and its deputy.

Sanusi said the situation clearly shows that DAP is actually playing the 'big brother' role in the PH and BN coalition.

"For DAP, Ong Kian Ming had touched on the same issue but nothing was said back. Look who is the big brother in PH and BN," he stressed.

Previously, Khalid had reportedly appealed to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah to reject Najib's pardon application.

He later said Umno should show some respect for Amanah’s stance on the matter.

On Tuesday, former Bangi DAP Member of Parliament Ong Kian Ming gave a warning that the boundary between PH and BN coalition should not be breached, including the release of Najib before the end of his prison term.
