KUALA LUMPUR - Founder of Rumah Bonda, Siti Bainun Ahd Razali, along with her lawyer arrived at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court before 9am, today.
Wearing a cream-colored outfit, she waved to the media personnel before entering the elevator to hear the decision if she will be acquitted or convicted of the charges of neglect and abuse of a teenager with down syndrome named Bella.
The verdic will be decided by Judge Izralizam Sanusi 10am today.
In the previous proceedings, the prosecution was handled by Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) Nor Azizah Mohamad, Zilfinaz Abbas, and Shakira Aliana Alias.
The Bella case went viral after a woman claimed that the teenage girl was scalded with hot water and tied up while under the care of Rumah Bonda.
On August 20, 2021, Siti Bainun was charged in Sessions Court for being responsible for caring the 13-year-old girl with down syndrome but neglected her, causing her physical and emotional harm.
Three months later, Siti Bainun was once again charged with the offence of abusing the teenager.
